The Fourth Recognition

Here we focus on becoming truly free from the past Free from anger. Free from guilt. Free from being manipulated by others from our past. And free from old regrets. That is what the Fourth Recognition was developed to do. What if you were just more patient with others and slower to feel frustrated or angry What if others just couldn't push your buttons like they do Would that change your life You bet it would What if the effects of all the unfairness that you have experienced throughout your...

The removal of stress is part of the program

A side effect that seems to be associated with regular use of this system is a feeling of calm, often described as feeling more relaxed, patient and peaceful, or in control. As stress is removed from your body in the form of old useless emotions, there is a tendency toward health and optimism. How stress affects your health will be discussed further in a later chapter. As stress is removed from your body and nervous system, some physical changes, both temporary and permanent may occur....

How to construct and use your Fifth Recognition

Here are some simple rules to follow that will help you to develop suggestions that are really powerful. The suggestions should be short and simple. They should deal with just one issue or behavior working with more than one issue or behavior tends to dilute the effectiveness of the suggestion. It should be in present tense. Don't use I will in your hypnotic suggestion, that is future tense. Construct your suggestions as if they were true now. Write out your suggestions in positive terms only....

How do I get more Recognitions

As explained above, this book only contains the first Recognition. Where do you get the others In most cases you can get them from the same source as this book. If you are working with a 7th Path Teacher or 5-PATH Hypnotherapist, she can give you more Recognitions. All 7th Path Recognitions are given in hypnosis. This is why you will need to get with a qualified 7th Path Teacher or Hypnotherapist (live or through a recording of a class). She will guide you back into hypnosis and give you the...

External Stress

Under pressure individuals will respond differently. Some will develop ulcers, others will lose their hair, and others will experience hives, and so on. Under chronic stress, the symptoms and disease can be even worse. Stress can lead or contribute to heart attack, stroke, cancer, and much more. In this example there are two kinds of stress. The one illustrated by the arrow pointing to the left is internal stress. This is the stress caused by the emotional pressure...

More About The First Recognition

Each of the Recognitions is closely related to the 5-PATH system of hypnotherapy that we use at The Hypnosis Center, Inc. The first phase is directed at getting the client started. We want the client to have a positive experience with hypnosis and to have a hopeful experience overall. The theme of the First Recognition is that of hope and starting anew. This Recognition is designed to connect you with your Higher Power. It is our experience that long-lasting change occurs most often if the...

Feelings and Emotions Come From Three Different Places Your Past Present and Future

As I mentioned above, how you are feeling at any given moment is a result of your thoughts, perceptions and beliefs. These thoughts and the resulting beliefs have built up over your entire lifetime. Probably most of your thoughts and beliefs are right on the mark and are an accurate representation of reality. This is especially true of the beliefs that you are consciously aware of holding. But we also have unconscious or subconscious beliefs. Some of these may not be so correct perhaps because...

The Seething Caldron of Emotions is a model for understanding how you feel

Here is another way to think about this whole thing. I like to use the example of The Seething Caldron of Emotions. Take a look at the graphic below. I will use it to explain how your past, present and future can all cause stress in your life. If you don't take into account these three different sources of stress, any attempt at taking back control of how you feel will be inadequate in the long run. The caldron and that which may be seething inside of it represents your emotional state at any...
